My approach to wedding days //
Since I started photographing weddings in 2011, my style — and my heart behind it — has evolved so much. In those early years, I used to whisk couples away for hours of portraits, spending up to three hours shooting with the bridal party. But over time, I’ve realised that your wedding day isn’t a photo shoot — it’s a once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
These days? I believe less is more. I usually only need about an hour for portraits — enough time to create something beautiful without pulling you too far from the people and moments that matter most.
Instead of rushing off-site or losing time with your guests, I encourage couples to stay nearby — to soak it all in and enjoy what you’ve planned and poured your heart into. We’ll still capture gorgeous portraits, of course, but in a way that feels fun, relaxed, and connected to your day.
That might look like:
Sipping afternoon tea with your bridal party in a sunlit garden
Jumping in the wedding car and stopping at a few meaningful or quirky spots
Staying on-site and using the space around you to create timeless, effortless images
I want your photo experience to feel like part of the celebration — not a break from it. Because the last thing I want is for you to get tired, overwhelmed, or feel like you’re missing your own wedding.
So yes, my style has changed — because I’ve learned that the most important thing is helping you remember the feeling of the day, not just how it looked. I want you to be there, fully present, with your people, living it all in real time.
And I’ll be there, quietly capturing the magic as it unfolds.
