FAQ

01. What type of photography do you do?

Weddings, Couples, Family Sessions, Maternity & Newborn Lifestyle, Content creation / New Business Profile photographs for businesses.

02. How many images will I receive?

I also supply 100+ photographs to my family, couples & maternity shoots. I will be honest, I'm an over-shooter. So I always end up supplying you with heaps of photographs from your shoot because I know that we all have different views on what photographs we like. So I love to include a HUGE range for you + I feel that these photographs are special!

03. What do I do if there's bad weather?

As much as we can’t control the weather, some overcast or drizzly weather makes for the most beautiful photos if your up for it, otherwise we will reschedule for the next available date to accomodate.

04. Where do photoshoots take place?

I love shooting in places that are meaningful to you. It could be your family property, a favourite park, or the beach if you're after that coastal vibe.

I send out a questionnaire before the session — this helps me get a feel for your style and what matters most to you. From there, I’ll suggest ideas that reflect your family’s personality. Maybe it's a dreamy beach shoot, or something more urban and playful — think coffee at a cute cafe, playground adventures, or even tennis courts and scooters for that cool, gritty edge paired with Milkshakes from the diary.

The beauty of photography is that it can happen almost anywhere. I love mixing it up so your shoot feels unique and true to you! Lets be creative!

FAQ

Part 2

05. What happens on shoot?

Every shoot begins with connection. I take time to get to know you — we chat, laugh, and ease into it naturally. No awkward silences, no stiff posing. Just genuine conversation that helps everyone, especially the kids, relax and feel at home.

I always begin with the classic “everyone-looking-at-the-camera” shot — the one grandma and granddad will proudly display on the fridge or mantelpiece. It’s simple, timeless, and always a favourite. From there, we move into a series of natural combinations: everyone together, just the kids, parents together, and individual moments like Mum with each child or Dad playing with the crew.

While I give  direction, the shoot is never rigid. I’ll encourage the kids to run around, jump, climb, or have a race with Dad. Maybe they’ll be tossed in the air or spin in circles until they collapse with laughter. Some families thrive with lots of guidance, others are naturally interactive and need very little from me — I read the vibes and follow your lead.

My aim is always the same: to create an experience that feels true to your family. Whether you're playful and loud, quiet and connected, or somewhere in between.

06.  What do I wear on a photoshoot?

Don’t stress — I’ve got you covered. After you book, I’ll send you a full style guide with ideas and inspiration to help you plan outfits that photograph beautifully and feel like you.

I always say:

Wear what you love. Wear what feels good. That’s what looks best in photos.

07. Will I post image from our shoot online ?

I always check first to see if you're okay with your shoot being shared online.

Sometimes I will share photographs and other times I won't. I love to share with my followers & clients the recent photographs created.

I totally understand though if you would like your photographs kept offline. As sometimes it's nice to keep something to yourself to enjoy.

08. How far in advance should we book?

Family sessions fill up quickly, especially around holidays and the warm months. It’s best to book 3-5 weeks ahead to secure your preferred date and time.

06. What is your photography style on the day?

Relaxed, unobtrusive, and story-driven. I’ll guide you when needed (especially during portraits), but mostly I’m there to document the real stuff — the in-between moments, the emotion, the laughter, and everything that makes your day uniquely yours. 08. We’re awkward in front of the camera… help?!

I love photographing people, and I truly believe that everyone can look amazing in front of the camera — yes, even if you feel totally awkward or have no idea what to do with your hands!

My goal is to help you relax, feel seen, and actually enjoy the experience. I’ll gently guide you with posing that flatters you — not stiff, not forced, just natural and authentic. I watch how you connect and follow your lead.

If you’re a cuddly, affectionate couple — we’ll lean into that warmth. If you’re more edgy, artistic, or hands-off — we’ll create something that feels true to your vibe. No pressure to perform or act like anyone else.

By the end, most couples say, “That was actually fun!” (And yep, you’ll look amazing I promise!)
